Cooper ran his very first 5K today. Let me just say I am one proud momma!! He ran it in 28:52. His 1st 5k!! I ran the 5K (fast) and then started back on the course, following it in reverse, to try to find Cooper. I did not have to go to far. He was only about a quarter of a mile from the 3 mile marker. He ran hard at the end to finish strong. I was so full of pride on his behalf. He actually finished 3rd in his age group, but they only gave out medals to first and second place.
Oh, by the way, I was the first female finisher at 22:42.
